The art of drag, for me, is magic. It's a medium that one can use to bring change. It's transformative. In a way, doing drag can be seen as a journey to find one's true self. Historically, in many of our journeys, humans have been making the effort to consult with a higher power by looking inward and outward. That's where the idea of 'Divination and Drag' met.

In this Drag Divinity Deck project, I want to transform drag performers into these deities, symbols and divinities, capable of guiding humans through their journey. The inspirations mainly came from tarot cards, oracle cards and esoteric imagery, sprinkled with mysticism and whimsy.

I projected myself into my artwork by using symmetry in the composition to symbolize balance, and abstract chaotic brushstrokes and colors to honor my internal struggle.
